Free & Fit Convicted of Change by Tim Cheux

To try and change without feedback, to follow a path without counsel, or to take an unknown journey without a GPS may seem somewhat silly. Yet, today we still all go fully forward in a trajectory towards the wrong way. It’s like driving down a street that clearly says Do Not Enter, Wrong Direction, or Dead End. We shouldn’t enter, but we keep on going anyway.
When a strange urge, temptation, or comparison enters our minds, sometimes we are just so stubborn, deliberate, or egotistical that we must seek the end of a cycle without respite. Despite all the warnings, we plunge on and end up in a desperate situation or scenario we could have easily avoided.
This reminds me of the story in the Bible where Jonah ends up in the whale, where the Israelites worship the fattened calf, and where humanity falls short of the glory of God.
We must all seek repentance when headed in the wrong direction, not because it’s religious, traditional, or weak, but because it
demonstrates our need for help. To reach out to a friend, to make a phone call, or to arrange to connect with someone in a time of need is better than going forward alone. Life is too short to make mistakes without the presence of people who care, a God who loves you, and to live a life without purpose.
This Fall, don’t fall into a trap or spiral of negativity; instead fall head over heels in love with your life again, the world we live in, and the people who truly care about you. This Fall, let’s fall in love with Jesus again!
For who has known the mind and purposes of the Lord, so as to instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes]. [Is 40:13]”
