Prayer & Reflection:
This past two weeks I have experienced being turned around on a bus journey from Charlotte to DC stranded in Raleigh bus station over night without a bus driver, dumbfounded by a broken phone without GPS, payment or any contact information and then to top it all off food poisoning forcing me out of Church and the Pulpit on Sunday morning. It’s been a rough, transient and teaching season. Despite these experiences they were all set on one theme. An idea, a plan and an ascent towards moving, making plans and being re-ordered by Gods steps.
We often seek to find grandeur opportunities than where we are, look for bigger audiences to launch our next great idea and seek to build even more established networks to grow even larger impacts than what we are currently doing right now. The outcome, can be “Job” like when we don’t anticipate what God is doing and end up not listening like Jonah and end up in the whale if it’s not the direction God wants us walking in. Enter the changes with transformation, the opportunities without interruption that can be established in the places you are currently in today and the work God is already doing through where you are right NOW!
Sometimes, perhaps instead of moving, changing and shifting. Instead the same Staying, consolidation and demonstrating loyalty can provide the breakthrough you are looking for elsewhere. The danger we sometimes face is that we look for all the right things, in all the wrong place and land in all sorts of awkward and difficult places as a result.
We may not all agree with the theory of the 144,000 tribes of Israel from chapter 7 of revelation. However, as we will explore tomorrow God wants to make sure that you do not miss out on what he is doing in your life right now, in the relationships you have formed and in the places he has you right now. Watch out for tomorrow to find out about what God is doing right here in a little old town called Charlotte in North Carolinas!
